Position Summary:
The
Visual Brand Manager
will be responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions across all phases from ideation to execution to support marketing strategies, business initiatives and goals. The Visual Brand Manager will create and/or direct innovative visual content that may include brand theory, typography, graphic layouts, video, photography, data visualization, and experiential backdrops, that align with the brand strategy for a range of communication mediums. The Visual Brand manager supervises graphic designers and works in concert with corporate brand manager, copywriters and digital partners in creating concepts; comps; layouts; and final art for print and digital applications. A successful VBM is a creative thinker, understands the business objective of marketing initiatives and provides solutions to support the desired outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Connecting ideation to execution of visual brand assets including the use of color theory, typography, drawing, design software, data visualization, design for web and print, branding and identity design, and the intersection with marketing strategy disciplines including segmentation, targeting, and user experience, Collaborating with key stakeholders and apply excellent communication skills to help others understand the vision for the project. Provide coaching and leadership to ensure designers are completing projects on strategy, on time and within budget Providing motivation for collaboration and enthusiasm for design team and contributions to overall marketing outcomes. Creating innovative content, leading-edge graphics, campaign concepts, design solutions and layout options that align with the brand for a range of needs across digital, virtual, and print mediums. Overseeing the entire design process from start to finish including sketch, ideate, and generate new concepts based on insights, direction, feedback, and/or self-driven research that delivers a compelling message to drive sales and build brand loyalty. Visualizing, designing and conceptualizing user experiences – present/communicate conceptual ideas (arrangement, size, typography, style, photography, etc) and the rationale behind design decisions. Designing communications and sales enablement materials for business and product line marketing initiatives including email templates, digital and print newsletters, digital campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter), website content/design updates, digital and print brochures, proposals, PowerPoint presentations, print and digital ads, signage, video stamps, publications, and specialized support materials with an emphasis on communicating ideas visually and succinctly to compel action with current and potential clients. Researching, purchasing, and customizing stock photography to reflect the core message and brand; Manage creative assets ;
Establish guidelines for archiving files uploading and managing DAM system. Understanding VOC and segmentation in applying design principles to execute on brand strategy. Promoting uniformity and consistency of brand and assist in development and refinement of uniform graphic standards and visual brand strategies. Partnering with copywriting, photography, videography, and experience and engagement professionals, as well as third party vendors as needed, to optimize integrated marketing (logos, collateral material, digital (web and social), promotional merchandise, marketing communications, experiential outreach, signage, etc.). Applying expertise in technology and data-driven interfaces in collaboration with team members to monitor and measure effectiveness. Special projects and other tasks as assigned. Selection Criteria:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, Internet Marketing, Digital Design or related field. 7+ years of professional design experience. Thorough understanding of graphic design principles, layout, composition, balance, white space and color theory. Strong Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects. Working Knowledge/Experience developing WordPress/basic HTML/CSS themes and designs. Working knowledge of marketing automation and common web tools. Familiarity with motion graphics a plus. Excellent editing skills and strong attention to details with the ability to make design recommendations and present information clearly and creatively. Video editing skills are highly desirable. Experience managing projects and directing work of others in project team environments. Demonstrated Collaborative Skills and ability to challenge when needed.
