Inside Sales Team Member
Position Overview
The Inside Sales Team Member plays a key role in driving KaTom's continued growth by building strong customer relationships and converting inbound opportunities into long-term business. This role is primarily focused on inbound correspondence - no cold calling - while providing knowledge product recommendations, accurate quoting, and consistent follow-up. Inside Sales Team Members act as trusted advisors to our customers while representing the KaTom brand with professionalism, integrity, and urgency.
What You’ll Do
Respond to inbound customer calls, emails, and other correspondence related to product inquiries, quotes, and orders
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to grow a personal book of business
Provide timely and accurate follow-up on quotes to close sales opportunities
Recommend products and solutions through consultative selling and discovery-based conversations
Continuously learn new products and categories to better serve customer needs
Provide customers with estimated delivery timelines and cost estimates for additional charges such as shipping
Accurately document customer interactions, quotes, and orders in the CRM system
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are fully met
Prioritize tasks and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2–4 years of sales or foodservice/restaurant experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Foodservice or restaurant industry experience preferred
Advanced computer skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency required)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Self-starter who can adapt to an evolving sales environment and operate with a high level of integrity
Ability to read and interpret product information, pricing, and bid specifications
Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required
Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and decision-making abilities
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work well with others
Compensation This position is paid under KaTom's Inside Sales Compensation Plan and offers uncapped earning potential.
Guaranteed commission of $40,000 annually, paid as a monthly draw against commissions.
Tiered commission structure based on monthly invoiced sales volume
Progressive commission rates that increase as sales volumes increase
Additional bonus opportunities available for performance milestones, training completion, and mentoring
Detailed commission rates and bonus eligibility are outlined in the Inside Sales Compensation Plan provided during the interview and onboarding process.
Work Schedule
Full-time, on-site position in Kodak, TN
8-hour shifts
Weekend availability may be required based on business needs
