Outside Solar Sales Consultant (Experienced Only) Capital Energy About Capital Energy Capital Energy is one of the fastest-growing solar and storage installers in the Southwest. The Role This position is designed for experienced solar consultants who can confidently run appointments, manage the full sales cycle, and close.
Responsibilities
Run retail solar appointments (self-generated and/or company provided)
Conduct in-home or virtual consultations end-to-end
Present solar + battery solutions clearly and ethically
Structure deals accurately with multiple financing options (TPO, lease, loan)
Set proper customer expectations and hand off clean installs
Use CRM and sales tools to manage pipeline and follow-ups
Stay sharp on utility policy, rate changes, and market shifts
This is not an entry-level role. You should already know how to sell solar.
Requirements (Read Carefully)
1+ years of documented solar sales experience required
Comfortable closing homeowners face-to-face
Solid understanding of:
Solar system sizing & offsets
Utility billing (APS / SRP preferred)
Financing structures (lease, PPA, loans)
Ability to self-generate leads and manage your own book
Strong communication, professionalism, and follow-through
CRM experience required (Podio, Solo, Salesforce, or similar platform)
If you are brand new to solar, this role is not a fit.
