We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Stars Analytics team, dedicated to improving survey-based quality measures. As the Director of Stars Analytics, you will transform large sets of complex data into actionable insights that drive our organization's healthcare initiatives.
As the Director of CAHPS & HOS, you will be at the forefront of Humana's analytics strategy, guiding the analytics lifecycle which includes forecasting, member and plan-level insights, predictive modeling, and tool development. You'll work closely with Stars CAHPS/HOS business owners, acting as a strategic partner to influence and shape our long-term capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead comprehensive analytics initiatives for CAHPS and HOS, ensuring timely and rigorous deliverables.
Oversee essential capabilities such as:
Survey measure forecasting
Performance modeling
Member and plan-level insights
Risk profiling and response likelihood models
Feedback analysis to drive experience enhancements
Development of exploratory analysis tools
Effectively communicate analytics insights to support operational strategies and decisions.
Strategic Collaboration:
Act as the key analytics partner for Stars CAHPS/HOS leadership, identifying risks and opportunities.
Influence strategy and innovation, aligning analytics with evolving business needs.
Enhance collaboration across various teams including product, clinical, and enterprise analytics.
Support analytics related to vendor partnerships, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Engagement and Leadership:
Prepare impactful presentations for senior leadership on analytics findings.
Craft clear narratives from complex data to assist in decision-making.
Identify potential risks early and prepare the organization for insightful discussions.
Team Development:
Lead a high-performing analytics team of 4-6 professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
Mentor emerging analytics talent, reinforcing skills in CAHPS and HOS.
Encourage proactive engagement and ownership among team members.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Public Health, or Analytics.
7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics.
5+ years of leadership experience in building multidisciplinary analytics teams.
Proven ability to manage complex analytics initiatives in a collaborative environment.
Excellent presentation and communication skills for executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in survey-based quality measurement such as CAHPS or HOS.
Master's degree in a related discipline is a plus.
Experience with predictive modeling and NLP techniques.
