At the Humana Enterprise Architecture Activation unit, we strive to create an exceptional member experience by aligning business strategies with technology. As the Lead Enterprise Architect with a focus on AI, you will be steering the vision and execution of our AI-driven enterprise architecture.
Your responsibilities will involve aligning AI initiatives with business goals, managing intricate architecture projects, and guiding the organization's responsible AI adoption. You will be a key player in harmonizing the business vision with technology strategy and overseeing the IT portfolio implementation.
As an advocate for the business within IT, you will unify business leadership, operations, project management, IT leadership, and engineering, fostering a mutual understanding essential for delivering the business vision. You will significantly contribute to crucial business outcomes and forge technology strategies leveraging the IT portfolio to enhance member experiences, health outcomes, and operational efficiency. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to mentor enterprise, solution, technology, and system architects across Humana.

Advocacy and Stewardship Responsibilities: Champion the business's needs within IT.

Continuously explore and understand healthcare payer industry best practices and innovations, sharing insights across business and IT.
Innovation, Strategy, and Execution Tasks: Define and advocate for the AI architecture vision and roadmap.
Lead cross-functional teams in executing transformative AI solutions.
Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to align business vision and strategy with value streams and capabilities.
Partner with domain architects and engineers to document current architectural states and capability models.
Utilize portfolio rationalization to identify opportunities for innovation while reducing risks and operational costs.
Collaborate with technical teams to define technology strategies that align technology portfolios with defined business values.
Create the necessary artifacts for effective demand management and delivery prioritization to develop roadmaps executing technology strategies.
Document and maintain principles, standards, policies, and methodologies for enterprise architecture practices.
Encourage the integration of enterprise architecture within an agile delivery framework.
Ensure that technology strategy execution aligns with the core business strategy and vision.
Provide guidance through the architecture governance process.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Advanced experience as a senior architect or technical lead in major IT projects across multiple systems.
Expert knowledge of architecture patterns for integration, system decomposition, refactoring, and cloud migration.
Extensive knowledge of cloud-native architectures on at least one major cloud provider.
Solid expertise in highly available, fault-tolerant, and event-driven architectures at scale.
Strong background in Enterprise Architecture, technical strategy, and roadmaps.
Experience with lean-agile methodologies in an enterprise context.
Technical expertise in one or more domains such as on-premise infrastructure, identity management, data management, information security, software delivery, business applications, analytics, or robotic process automation.
Bonus points for expertise in healthcare insurance payer domains, including Medicare, Medicaid, group insurance, and specialty health care.
Make a Meaningful Impact with Your Skills Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects.
10+ years in software application design, development, and testing.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Professional Level Cloud certification in Azure, GCP, or AWS.
1-3 years of experience in Cloud technologies or Enterprise Architecture.
2+ years of leadership experience in projects.
Additional Information: The role is remote, but candidates may be required to travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings occasionally. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 Pay Range:
