The Business Development Manager’s (BDM) primary responsibility is to establish, map and develop strategically aligned end-user prospects within set verticals by working with the team to replicate value added success across Europe. Within this role they will also manage and grow our distributor network with direct customer responsibility in assigned regions, strengthen partner relationships, and identify new business opportunities across Europe. This is a strategic role requiring strong sales acumen, relationship management skills, and experience navigating European markets. The BDM will ensure that sales budgets and objectives are achieved in the assigned area thus positively impacting the financial performance of the area for PT and FP products. It is expected this will be accomplished using provided sales tools and policies provided by the Company. The BDM is responsible for developing and maintaining sound customer and prospect relationships and possessing overall awareness of activities happening within the area that affect or could potentially affect Gates ability to sell product in the marketplace. Establish, map, and develop strategically aligned end-user prospects within defined vertical markets Work collaboratively with internal teams to replicate value-added sales success across Europe Manage and grow the distributor network, including direct customer responsibility in assigned regions Strengthen and maintain relationships with distributors, partners, customers, and prospects Identify and develop new business opportunities across European markets Achieve sales budgets and objectives for assigned regions, positively impacting financial performance Drive sales of PT and FP products in line with company strategy Use company-provided sales tools, processes, and policies to deliver results Maintain strong awareness of market, customer, and competitive activities affecting sales performance Monitor regional factors that could impact the company’s ability to sell products in the marketplace Visits distributors, end users, and OEs across Europe. Works with internal teams and customers on technical and purchasing needs to solve problems and drive opportunities. Keys to Success

None Requirements And Preferred Skills

8-10 years of experience in business development, value added selling and distribution management, preferably in manufacturing / power transmission / fluid power/ industrial / distribution. Degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Business (or equivalent practical experience in a technical/industrial sales environment). Must be fluent in English. A good standard of Microsoft Office PC /IT skills are required. CRM knowledge is desirable. Excellent communication and negotiation skills Why Gates?
