Position Overview Lake Wissota Golf & Events and Tanglewood Greens are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all agronomic operations across both facilities. This leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional playing conditions, managing and developing staff, implementing efficient maintenance systems, and aligning course operations with the long‑term vision of each property.

Lake Wissota Golf & Events

– A premier golf and events destination located on Lake Wissota in Chippewa Falls, WI, offering championship‑level golf, premier event facilities, and year‑round community engagement to the Chippewa Valley.

Tanglewood Greens

– A premier golf destination located 1 hour from the Twin Cities. This 18‑hole championship track is a hidden gem located in Menomonie, WI. Tanglewood Greens offers a championship‑level golf experience, great event facilities, and a great draw to the Twin Cities Metro.

Key Responsibilities

Agronomic & Course Management

Oversee all turfgrass maintenance operations for both courses.

Maintain high standards of playability, consistency, and aesthetics.

Develop and execute agronomic plans, fertility programs, and cultural practices.

Monitor course conditions and adjust strategies based on weather, play, and seasonality.

Leadership & Staff Development

Hire, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff at both locations.

Build strong team culture focused on accountability, course pride, and professionalism.

Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.

Budgeting & Operations

Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.

Control expenses while maintaining course quality.

Manage equipment maintenance, inventory, and purchasing.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Communication & Collaboration

Work closely with ownership and management to align priorities.

Communicate course conditions, projects, and timelines effectively.

Coordinate maintenance schedules around tournaments, outings, and events.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.

Strong turfgrass knowledge with hands‑on agronomic expertise.

Proven leadership experience managing staff and operations.

Ability to oversee multiple facilities and balance competing priorities.

Strong organizational, budgeting, and communication skills.
