Overview Fleet Feet is hiring a

Social Media Specialist

to help scale our organic social and influencer ecosystem through creator partnerships, native content execution, and consistent operational excellence. This role is designed to execute and scale social strategy defined by the Social Media Manager, while partnering closely on ideation, optimization, and performance insights. The Specialist will own the day-to-day execution of our influencer strategy and content pipelines—turning big ideas into shipped work at scale. This is a role for someone who understands social-first, platform-native content, creator culture, and how organic social drives real community engagement, brand and business impact.

Responsibilities

Support Our Tiered Influencer Strategy

Support the day-to-day operations of Fleet Feet’s tiered influencer program (micro → macro), aligned to defined audience segments and vendor partners

Source, vet, and manage creator relationships in support of brand campaigns, vendor partnerships, and evergreen content needs

Translate strategic direction into clear creator briefs, timelines, and deliverables

Manage creator communication, deliverable tracking, usage rights, and deadlines

Support onboarding, pilot execution, and workflows within Fleet Feet’s influencer marketing platform

Track creator performance and surface insights and optimization recommendations

Bolster Our Native Content and Optimize Our Channel Engagement

Support consistent idea-bringing to Fleet Feet’s native content pipeline across priority platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube

Execute recurring content series, creator-led formats, and evergreen programming

Support testing of TikTok-native formats and help scale top performers into repeatable content pillars

Create and edit social-first, in-app content (primarily TikTok and Instagram Reels), including short-form video, captions, and light motion or text overlays

Occasionally appear on camera for social content when appropriate (e.g., trends, explainers, POV moments), with support and direction from the Social Manager

Ensure content feels native to each platform—prioritizing strong hooks, pacing, and storytelling optimized for organic performance

Execute rapid-turn content activations leveraging an ad hoc content budget, responding to trends, cultural moments, and community stories

Act as a point of connection between the brand social team and Fleet Feet’s store community, helping close the loop between local insights and national storytelling

Support ongoing community management across Fleet Feet’s social channels by actively engaging with comments, DMs, and mentions

Help foster meaningful two-way conversations with our audience, prioritizing responses that build trust, credibility, and brand affinity

Identify high-engagement community members and creators for potential amplification or future partnerships

Turn Our Local Stores into Our Biggest Content Creators by Strengthening our Local Franchise Marketing Teams

Identify, source, and scale high-performing store-generated content across Fleet Feet’s local network

Partner with stores to surface authentic community stories, product moments, events, and local voices

Help establish clear guardrails and lightweight best practices that empower stores to create social-first content

Use ad hoc content budget and test-and-learn initiatives to identify and elevate store-level content leaders

Collaborate with the Social Manager to turn standout store content into repeatable or scalable formats across owned channels

Act as a point of connection between the brand social team and Fleet Feet’s store community, helping close the loop between local insights and national storytelling

Share performance insights, content examples, and learnings back to internal partners to encourage stronger store participation

Support internal education efforts by surfacing examples of what’s working and why across social channels

1-4 years of experience in social media management, publishing, influencer marketing, and creator partnerships

Strong fluency in TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and creator culture

Experience communicating with creators or influencers

Sharp instincts for what makes content perform organically

Highly organized with strong project management and multi-tasking skills

Comfortable executing in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment

Demonstrates the ability to thoughtfully onboard—taking the time to understand Fleet Feet’s franchise and corporate structure, internal decision-making, and partner relationships in order to drive effective, long-term impact.

Communicates professionally with various departments (creative, senior leadership, franchise owners, vendor partners, customers, etc.)

Demonstrates a passion for the mission and core values at Fleet Feet and its initiatives, activities, and functions

Experience with influencer marketing platforms a plus

Familiarity with paid amplification or creator whitelisting a plus

Background in fitness, running, or athletic communities a plus

Experience supporting multi-location or franchise brands a plus
