Job Title: Communications Strategist
We are a leading telecommunications organization focused on delivering strong customer experiences through effective, data-driven marketing communications. The Communications Strategist will play a key role on the CRM Marketing and Customer Experience team, leading end-to-end communication strategies for business customers across multiple channels.
Contract & Location
Contract Length: 11 months
Location: Irving, TX
Work Setup: mostly virtual with occasional in-person meetings.
Communications Strategist Responsibilities
Lead communication strategies that manage the end-to-end customer experience for Business Markets, Global Enterprise, and Public Sector customers.
Own the omnichannel communication experience, providing orchestration recommendations aligned with CX and NPS priorities.
Manage existing communication templates and the overall transactional lifecycle strategy for business customers.
Partner closely with journey leads to conduct customer and functional journey analysis and mapping.
Own prioritization and governance for non-marketing communications, including business rules for logic, design, frequency, and content continuity.
Stand up and manage a new email and SMS communications library and supporting CX playbook.
Lead marketing requirements for communication requests in collaboration with creative agencies.
Collaborate with CRM, Product, Martech, IT, and internal CX teams to support technology enhancements and journey improvements.
Ensure high-quality, accurate email and SMS templates using responsive design, dynamic content, and best industry practices.
Support design, build, and testing efforts for email, SMS, and ad-hoc communications.
Communications Strategist Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Six or more years of relevant professional experience.
Experience marketing to end customers.
Hands-on experience executing marketing communications, including Email, SMS, and/or Direct Mail campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications
AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) experience (strongly desired).
Agency experience.
Digital marketing certifications.
Adobe experience or professional certification (strongly desired).
Knowledge of email clients, web technologies, and relational databases.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Master’s degree (nice to have).
Additional Notes
Candidates may be located near any Telecommunication Hub; no West Coast candidates will be considered.
The role is mostly virtual with occasional in-person meetings.
Candidates outside the DFW area who can travel to the Irving office are strongly preferred.
