Job Description
The Director of Treasury Operations plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our daily treasury functions. This includes cash and liquidity management, the application of incoming receipts, payment processing, and maintaining strong banking relationships.
Strategic Leadership
This position leads the Treasury Operations teams by strategically focusing on enhancing people, processes, and technology to meet the evolving needs of our customers. The Director is responsible for developing and executing strategies that elevate the accuracy, timeliness, and service levels within Treasury Operations, ensuring alignment with our overall business goals.
Financial Oversight and Collaboration
As a primary contact for our finance outsource vendor, this role fosters collaboration and promotes effective service delivery.
What You'll Do
Manage daily cash operations (approximately $18 billion in cash throughput) by controlling cash flow, projecting balances, and maintaining optimal liquidity and short-term credit lines.
Enhance cash forecasting methods to support proactive decision-making.
Lead teams overseeing the transactional work around incoming receipts and cash balancing.
Create programs to streamline and integrate processes within Treasury Operations.
Utilize technology to improve key operational metrics such as accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee third-party vendors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost efficiencies.
Collaborate with the Investment team to strategically manage short-term cash and investments.
Develop career advancement plans for direct reports by identifying key goals and milestones.
Build and maintain strong relationships with essential banking partners to enhance banking solutions and process improvements.
What You Bring A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with at least 10 years of experience leading a Treasury Operations team.
An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MAcc) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
If no degree, a minimum of 12 years of experience in a related role.
Bonus Points Experience in health insurance treasury management is highly preferred.
Previous responsibilities involving lockbox management are preferred.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining various cash forecasts.
Experience managing high-volume cash operations exceeding $5 billion annually, ideally in a regulated or claims-driven industry.
A history of successfully managing diverse teams through periods of change.
The capability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
Familiarity with treasury management systems (e.g., Kyriba, GTreasury, SAP Treasury) and related back-office finance operations support technologies.

Salary Range Our compensation package is designed to be fair and competitive, reflecting market rates. Initial salaries are usually aligned with the middle of the provided range. Compensation decisions consider experience, training, certificates, and organizational needs. The total rewards package includes an Annual Incentive Bonus, a 401(k) match, Paid Time Off (PTO), competitive health benefits, and wellness programs. *Bonus eligibility is based on annual corporate and individual performance.
