JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Summary The OE Sales Manager is responsible for management of the original equipment and aftermarket sales activities within the HVAC Business Unit. The OE Sales Manager will develop creative and competitive proposals to secure winning positions on new OE contract opportunities and to negotiate favorable technical and commercial terms and conditions. Post-contract award, the OE Sales Manager transitions contracts to the Project Management team to launch and execute the project. The OE Sales Manager also manages the aftermarket sales team (outside and inside sales), sets order intake budgets, and drives order intake for overhauls, modernizations and spare parts directly with end users. Essential Functions

Drive the mid-term planning process, forecasting OE and aftermarket sales to develop strategic plans for the business unit. Ensure proposals are created and submitted to customers in a timely manner in response to Requests For Proposal, reflecting cost, schedule, technical scope and commercial conditions acceptable to the HVAC BU and compliant with corporate rules. Work with the Rail Services group to obtain cost-effective long-term spare parts and support proposals to support winning OE Projects. Develop the Sales Team and tools/processes to ensure an effective, efficient and professional organization, including monitoring and initiating performance improvements. Act as the external face to the customer, building and managing relationships with the customer base, including proactive relationship building and market outreach to car builders for upcoming projects. Support long-term customer relationship building and coordination of non-project-specific outreach to Merak. Ensure profitability of the Business Unit by achieving approved profit levels in the bid phase and maintaining them in the initial project profitability forecast at launch. Knowledge

Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure compliance with company rules and policies. Comply with quality, product safety and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations; be energy conscious where applicable. Understand and comply with applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI). Maintain and safeguard business records. Readiness to travel across North America and occasionally globally. Skills

Securing new OE equipment orders. Managing aftermarket sales team to secure modernization, overhaul and spare parts orders. Improving processes for the preparation and submission of high-quality technical and commercial proposals. Developing a competent support staff trained in all OE and aftermarket sales activities and product knowledge. Establishing and maintaining customer relationships at appropriate management levels to improve competitive position across the car builder customer base. Experience

5+ years of relevant experience as a Sales Manager in rail companies Education

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Westminster, MD is $89,900 to $134,900 per year. The final pay offered will depend on factors including but not limited to experience, industry, and education. This is a multi-state employer; compensation may vary by location.
