Experience in modernization projects, including transitioning from legacy systems to digital ecosystems and establishing new data-driven workflows. Proficient in quality control programs leveraging analytics for ongoing improvement. Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Electronic Health Records, Generative AI, and wearable technology and their influence on underwriting strategy. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data and improve risk governance practices. Skilled in creating dashboards and using Business Intelligence tools like Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau, along with Microsoft Excel, to analyze performance metrics. Exceptional collaboration skills to engage diverse stakeholders and foster adoption of new processes. A change leadership mindset, ready to challenge norms and bring innovative enhancements to efficiency and customer satisfaction. Knowledge of data governance and compliance within digital underwriting frameworks. Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing the development and enhancement of life underwriting rules and AI systems for automated platforms, utilizing advanced data sources and predictive analytics to stay ahead in the industry. Facilitating the transition to a modern underwriting workbench, promoting adoption and continuous improvements for digital workflows. Conducting thorough impact analyses for both opportunities and challenges, aligning inputs and outcomes while managing cross-functional action plans. Partnering with medical directors and underwriting leaders to design next-gen insurance applications that blend automation with customer-centric features. Managing medical risk and vendor relationships to fine-tune rules or models using advanced data insights. Collaborating with technology, data science, and actuarial teams to prioritize initiatives that leverage AI and predictive analytics for scalable underwriting solutions. Documenting and establishing robust quality control programs for fluidless underwriting utilizing analytics to identify trends and support refinements. Assisting in the validation and selection of innovative underwriting tools and initiatives that ensure effective integration and operational impact. Working closely with data science to develop AI models that enhance underwriting automation and predictive accuracy, aligning methodologies with enterprise standards. Supporting underwriting operations during peak seasons, applying expertise to complex cases while advocating for digital tools and data-driven decision-making. Reporting Structure You will report to the Underwriting Manager. Work Arrangement This is a remote role. Travel Requirements Travel is expected to be under 10% for this position. Compensation The salary range for this position is $86,210.00 - $141,635.00, determined based on your education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Additionally, there may be eligibility for annual or other incentive compensation.
