The team of people who make up Segal Communications are smart, strategic, and creative, and we’re looking for Bay Area-based talent to join our team. Segal Communications operates on a hybrid work model, and candidates for this role must be able to work from our San Francisco office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Client Work
A senior contact for client accounts - always confirming client satisfaction
Responsible for overall client management and agency performance on assigned accounts
Campaign oversight, serve as a project manager: anticipate account needs, devise a plan, assign responsibilities, and ensure on-time deliverables
Ensure team is servicing the client at an appropriate level; manage client expectations
Achieve exceptional outcomes for current clients and manage an extended portfolio, ensuring consistency of service is delivered in line with company policy
Develop senior press relationships and manage contacts with key commentators, industry spokespeople, and sector influencers
Team Management
Manage a team that may include account executives, account coordinators, and interns
Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to direct reports to drive a positive work culture; develop & mentor junior team members into comms pros of the future
Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews with junior team members
Business
Actively contribute to the growth of the business; identify and develop new business opportunities; participate in new business development
REQUIREMENTS
5 years of experience working in public relations
Comfort in taking the responsibilities of a managerial role
Exceptional ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients
Demonstrated ability to develop creative and thorough communications plans and achieve set KPIs
Excellent project management skills with strong organizational and planning skills - a planner by nature, Monday, Asana, and Airtable are your favorite tools - you watch organizing videos in your free time

Deep understanding of the media landscape and strong media relationships
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills - you can draft a pitch, press release, media alert, or client email in your sleep
