Job Description

Be responsible for the support of Nucor Rebar Fabrication sales team.

Basic Job Functions

Must adhere to Nucor’s safety programs and standards.

Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor’s vision and values.

Assist in executing sales goals and business strategies.

Manage bid invites, project documents, and project drawings.

Perform minor take-offs using PDF editor.

Execute bid creations so that Nucor Rebar Fabrication budget mirrors what is in Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s scope of work.

Assist in the resolution of claims, disputes and extra charges between Nucor Rebar Fabrication and the customer.

Maintain favorable customer relations through appropriate customer-service related calls.

Develop and maintain a robust knowledge of the current market, industry standards, and Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s proprietary software systems.

Must be comfortable with having different levels of responsibility throughout any given day.

Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Minimum 2 years in customer service

Previous sales experience

Associate degree

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge of the construction industry and contract law preferred

Physical Demands

Typical office activities

Walking, sitting, standing, bending

Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers and other electronic equipment

Lifting/handling computers and related equipment (typically not more than 25 pounds)

Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus

Moderate noise level

Work is sometimes performed beyond the normal weekday schedule

Must preserve confidentiality of personnel records and certain business information
