$20–$25 per hour (commensurate with experience) We are seeking a highly qualified
Bid Specialist / Inside Sales Estimator
to support nationwide projects and our national sales operations. This role combines bid research, estimating, and inside sales support, assisting the Business Development Manager and Internal Sales team with quotes, proposals, and Sales Orders for our extensive network of product representatives. This position plays a critical role in identifying opportunities, evaluating project requirements, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the full bid-to-order process. Responsibilities
Collect and review project documents, including proposals, blueprints, specifications, RFIs, and addenda. Analyze project data to determine scope, requirements, and product applicability. Review site plans and specifications to identify opportunities for company products (including shade-related products where applicable). Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotes, bid proposals, and Sales Orders. Attention to detail, with minimal mistakes is a must. Assist the Business Development Manager and Internal Sales team in supporting product representatives nationwide. Track quotes and oversee multiple stages of projects to ensure accuracy and alignment with company capabilities. Develop and present clear, detailed reports and project summaries to management. Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator or in a similar role. Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills. Proficiency in Salesforce, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Adobe, and related estimating/CRM tools. Ability to read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and project specifications. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail. Effective time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
