Outside Sales Representative

Pay:

35k - 50k base plus aggressive commission package that averages +100,000k year end

Territory:

Montgomery County/DC

Overview We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative with a compact heavy equipment company. This role requires experience in the industry, excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Actively pursue all rental and sales opportunities within a defined geographic territory. Cold calling is essential to discover new customers and opportunities.

Respond promptly to customer inquiries, questions, or complaints regarding products, service, billing, or deliveries.

Continuously monitor telephone, text, and email communication 365 days a year, including during and after normal business hours, to meet customer and management needs.

Compile lists of prospective customers from sales leads, construction reports, trade shows, business association events, internet/social media sources, and provide information to Washington Air Compressor Rental Co.

Coordinate all rental opportunities with branch personnel, following policies and procedures to ensure correct billing and timely delivery.

Provide credit information for new account setup in the assigned territory.

Attend trade shows and business association events as required.

Overcome customer objections according to company policies and departmental guidelines.

Achieve budgetary goals in the assigned territory.

Represent Washington Air Compressor Co. with professionalism, integrity, and pride.

Reporting & Collaboration

Report to the Vice President of Sales or Sales Manager for guidance on overall issues.

Coordinate with Branch Managers regarding rentals in your territory.

Follow the chain of command to resolve internal issues.

Qualifications

Experience with heavy equipment or similar.

Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Professional demeanor and integrity.
