Compensation:
$100,000-115,000/year
Vaco is seeking an experienced Payroll & Commissions Lead to support a rapidly growing technology organization based on the east coast. This fully remote role oversees end?to?end payroll operations, commission processing, and T&E reimbursement management. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast?paced environment, ensures accuracy and compliance, and collaborates effectively across HR, Finance, and Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full?cycle payroll for
400+ employees across 40 states (bi?weekly and semi?monthly).
Oversee and collaborate with a third?party payroll processor; ensure accuracy of Workday payroll data.
Troubleshoot and resolve payroll tax filing discrepancies.
Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, commissions, deductions, taxes, and expense reimbursements.
Reconcile payroll data including earnings, deductions, accruals, taxes, and benefits.
Calculate commission payments based on SIPs and performance metrics.
Partner with Sales, Finance, and HR to resolve commission?related questions.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll and commission data.
Maintain current knowledge of payroll laws and commission structures.
Work with HRIS to resolve system issues, implement improvements, and update Workday configurations.
Support payroll and commission system upgrades and enhancements.
Supervise the team member responsible for T&E processing (Concur).
Collaborate cross?functionally to enhance payroll and commission processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
5–10+ years of payroll analysis/payroll accounting experience with exposure to commission calculations (MUST have commissions experience).
Experience with Workday (highly preferred), ADP, Concur, or similar HCM systems
Experience with MS Excel (Advanced - Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, formulas, sum-if statements, etc.
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
FPC or CPP certification
Workday and Concur experience; strong Excel proficiency.
Excellent communication skills.
Highly organized, detail?oriented, and results?driven.
Ability to build strong partnerships across all levels of the organization.
