Outside Sales Representative - Building Materials - Base Salary to 60k/year - La Porte, IN
Our client, a stable company known for its strong customer focus and supportive work environment, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their team.
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and growing business within the construction and industrial markets by building strong customer relationships, presenting solutions, and driving sales growth. This role involves meeting customers in the field, understanding their needs, and providing ongoing support to ensure long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Develop new sales opportunities and grow existing customer accounts
Present product solutions tailored to customer needs
Build, maintain, and grow strong customer relationships
Meet with customers regularly within an assigned territory
Actively listen to customer challenges and recommend appropriate solutions
Assist customers in selecting products that meet their requirements
Prepare and provide accurate product quotes
Place customer orders and ensure timely follow-up
Provide ongoing customer support and service
Manage and develop key customer relationships
Identify and pursue additional sales opportunities
Communicate effectively with the internal customer service team
Maintain professionalism and a strong company presence in the field
Qualifications:
3+ years of sales experience or equivalent experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree, Trade School, or relevant industry experience preferred)
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Travel required within a 60-mile radius
Compensation:
Base salary to 60k/year plus uncapped commission (estimated OTE of 85k - 95k/year first year)
