Job Description
The Route Sales Representative closes sales through face‑to‑face interaction with customers based within assigned sales territories. They meet with potential and existing customers to present sales proposals and inform them of product benefits and features. The Route Sales Representative will play a key role in increasing distribution and display activity by managing and negotiating with clients, researching sales competition, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services.

Bonus:
You will be eligible for a bonus of $1,500 after 6 months of continuous active employment, and an additional $1,500 after 1 year of continuous active employment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct professional product presentations to current retail customers
Stimulate market growth through new distribution and coverage in independent retail C‑Stores that are supplied by cash & carry and c‑store distributors in assigned geography
Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships
Achieve sales goals and build brand presence and merchandising
Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
Assist customers with ordering information and configurations; provide quotations on customer requirements and appropriate follow‑up
Utilize iPad technology for reporting all inventory/sales made daily and weekly
Perform any other appropriately related duty as requested by the Sales Manager
Drive a company van (Ford Transit, Connect or similar) throughout the work day
Manage cash and client product inventory
Must have a valid driver’s license
Follow navigation/directions, communicate, and solve customer challenges that might arise
Lift up to 30 lbs
Push/pull up to 80 lbs
QUALIFICATIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Bend/stoop/squat/kneel throughout the work day
Push/pull/reach/twist
Drive a Sprinter Van, Box Truck, Straight Truck, Step Van or similar larger vehicle
Lift up to 30 lbs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required
1‑2 year’s sales‑related and/or consumer goods industry experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal, organizational and sales skills; work effectively with team members, peers, management and external customer contacts
Read and follow a plan‑o‑gram (POG)
Good problem‑solving skills
Use an iPad/Tablet
Trip planning skills and comfort with driving a commercial van (Ford Transit Connect or similar)
Salary Range: $42,000‑$45,000 annually
