divh2Business Banking Relationship Manager/h2pLocation: 726 Exchange Street, Buffalo New York/ppJob Summary: The Business Banking Relationship Manager serves as the relationship manager and financial advisor to clients, introducing a full range of core Business Banking products, differentiated capabilities, and comprehensive solutions to meet client needs and exceed customer service expectations. This role focuses on acquiring new relationships and managing and growing existing client relationships. Our bankers are expected to demonstrate strong risk management acumen, including credit, operational, and compliance risks, to act as the first line of defense in adhering to KeyBanks profitability standards and moderate risk profile./ppEssential Functions:/pulliServes as the trusted financial advisor and business partner to clients, functioning as the Business Banking client expert and primary contact for most client-related matters./liliDrives focused growth and business development by creating and maintaining a clear and holistic understanding of the clients or prospects business/industry; analyzes data and relevant client business and industry trends./liliProvides and educates the client on Keys capabilities and how KeyBank products can help impact their business (cash management, payments, equipment finance, etc.)./liliMaintains an active prospecting effort, including identification, qualification, and calling; develops an active Center of Influence (COI) referral network./liliAssembles cross-functional teams to quickly respond to customer requests when not able to address requests personally. Knows when and how to bring in teams of experts and identify cross-sell opportunities./liliContinuously improves functional/technical sales and credit expertise and transfers this knowledge to team members; partners effectively with Credit as the first level sponsor for credit decisions./liliLeads and participates in credit processes and assumes ultimate accountability for all portfolio activities/issues ensuring sound asset quality, including underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management activities; assures accurate risk assessment of assigned portfolio./liliPerforms other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice./liliComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Keys clients and Key./li/ulpEducation: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required/ppWork Experience:/pulliA minimum of 3 years of experience in a small business/commercial lending environment required./liliA minimum of 1 year of experience in cross-selling products and an ability and track record to meet or exceed aggressive sales goals required./li/ulpSkills:/pulliAbility to build trust by taking a client centric approach/liliDeploys a long-term, innovative approach to problem solving and decision making with clients to build the relationship and generate solutions/liliDemonstrates expertise within defined industry or geography (vertical/sub vertical) and within product set/liliExhibits a relentless focus on creating and driving revenue growth and generating results/liliUnderstanding of financial, operational, and strategic drivers of client organizations to provide relevant and impactful banking solutions./liliUses structured sales methodologies, principles and practices without losing sight of the client and environment/liliUnderstands Keys risk culture and effectively manages risk/reward trade-offs/li/ulpCore Competencies:/pulliAll KeyBank employees are expected to demonstrate Keys Values and sustain proficiency in identified Leadership Competencies./li/ulpPhysical Demands:/pulliGeneral Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs./li/ulpTravel:/pulliOccasional travel to include overnight stay./li/ulpCompensation and Benefits: This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000.00 - $146,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
