Do you ride horses AND build with AI? Schneiders Saddlery is hiring a Growth Manager who combines equestrian passion with AI-builder technical skills to own our complete customer acquisition engine.

We are positioned to dominate the digital transformation of a $12B global market (only 30% e-commerce penetration today, growing 25% annually). We need someone who understands both horses and modern growth technology.
What Makes This Role Different
This isn\'t a standard growth marketing role. We require TWO things most roles don\'t:
Equestrian Background (Required):
You must be an active or former rider, horse owner, or deep equestrian enthusiast. You understand blanket weights, bit types, seasonal buying patterns, and what makes our community tick. Horse people helping horse people -- that\'s our DNA.
AI Builder Skills (Required):
You must have BUILT AI-powered tools, automations, or applications. Not just "used ChatGPT" -- actually deployed systems. Examples: custom apps, Zapier/Make workflows with AI, deployed agents, AI-assisted dashboards, prototyped with code.
The Opportunity Own the complete customer acquisition engine -- full-stack growth:
Paid Acquisition: Google Ads, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, influencer partnerships
Platform Optimization: Shopify merchandising, UX, CRO, A/B testing
SEO Strategy: Content-to-conversion mapping, product page optimization
Amazon Execution: Channel strategy, agency management, marketplace growth
Analytics: CAC tracking, LTV modeling, attribution, cohort analysis
AI Systems: Build and deploy automations, agentic AI, rapid prototyping
Key Responsibilities
Manage six-figure ad budgets across multiple channels
Build and execute A/B testing roadmaps for Shopify site
Optimize conversion rates and reduce customer acquisition costs
Build and deploy AI-powered automations for marketing operations
Conduct data analysis and present insights to leadership
Collaborate with Creative, Retention, and Sales teams
Manage external agencies (paid search, paid social, Amazon)
Apply equestrian knowledge to messaging, creative, and product strategy
What Success Looks Like (Year 1)
Acquire 10,000-20,000 new customers at target CAC
Drive $2M-4M in incremental revenue
Improve site conversion rate by 50-100 basis points
Launch 2-3 new profitable marketing channels
Scale Amazon to $500K-1M+ revenue
Deploy AI systems that automate 20-30 hours/month of manual work
Requirements Must-Have:
Active or former equestrian (rider, horse owner, or deep enthusiast)
5-7 years in growth marketing, performance marketing, or DTC e-commerce
Portfolio of AI tools/automations you\'ve BUILT (not just used)
Hands-on Shopify (or similar e-commerce platform) experience
GA4 and SQL for analytics
Paid advertising expertise (Google Ads, Meta Ads)
CRO and A/B testing methodology knowledge
Growth mindset: admits mistakes quickly, always learning
Strong Preference:
Horse owner or active rider (any discipline)
Built production AI systems or deployed agents
"Vibe coding" practice (using Claude/ChatGPT to build things daily)
Experience in niche/community-focused brands
Systems-thinking: builds processes that run without you
