About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Underwriting in the Technology Industry Segment. This officer-level role is pivotal in leading underwriting excellence across the largest and fastest-growing Middle Market Technology Property & Casualty portfolio in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic execution, ensuring alignment with company objectives, and crafting innovative insurance solutions to support growth and profitability. Key responsibilities include implementing strategic objectives, evaluating underwriting performance, and maintaining relationships with business partners to assess risk tolerance and market appetite. The role demands a leader with deep industry insight, the ability to unify and expand a high-performing team, and a strong focus on talent management and succession planning.

Candidates for this role at The Company should have a clear vision for their career and be ready to take on a leadership position that requires a combination of deep industry relationships, sales and marketing acumen, and a solid foundation in underwriting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of progressive underwriting success, with a background in technology-focused solutions and a preference for those with experience in commercial middle market Property & Casualty, Errors & Omissions, and Cyber products. Essential skills include in-depth technical knowledge of underwriting theories and practices, the ability to interact effectively with business partners, and a strong leadership and management skill set. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, including at least five years in a management role.
