The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President and Senior Real Estate Counsel for Venue Development. The successful candidate will be a passionate and motivated individual with a strong background in international real estate development projects. The role involves leading the review, negotiation, and drafting of various real estate agreements, including leases, land purchase, and construction contracts, particularly in markets outside the U.S. The candidate will be expected to work closely with local counsel, manage due diligence efforts, and coordinate with internal stakeholders such as finance, operations, risk management, and M&A. Experience in real estate and construction financing, as well as a commitment to responsiveness and the ability to handle a high volume of work with minimal supervision, are essential.
Applicants for this role at the company should hold a J.D. from an accredited law school, with a preference for those who are members of the California bar or are qualified to be Registered In-House Counsel. A minimum of 8-11 years' of legal experience in negotiating and drafting sophisticated, cross-border real estate transaction agreements is required, with a background in the entertainment, sports, or hospitality industry being advantageous. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, exceptional judgment, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and concise writing skills are also necessary, as is the ability to partner with business executives to provide effective legal solutions.
