About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Thought Leader Development for North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team that builds and maintains internal and external networks to engage with key influencers and decision-makers in the field of HAE. This role involves operational planning to establish the company as a trusted partner among key opinion leaders, aligning with various departments to address customer needs, and leading insight reporting at different levels. The Head of Thought Leader Development will also be involved in people management, team collaboration, and speaker/program management, and must ensure that the team operates in full compliance with medical and commercial guidelines.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 15 years of commercial experience in the biotech, pharma, or agency sector, with at least 5 years in thought leadership development or liaison management. A proven track record in launch planning and execution, particularly in rare disease, immunology, or specialty categories, is essential. The role requires deep experience in applying insight generation and customer segmentation to drive brand strategies, as well as experience in leading high-performance commercial field teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a personal passion for improving the lives of patients with rare diseases. A patient-first mindset, a big-picture thinking approach, and a competitive drive for results are also key attributes for this position.
