About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its philanthropic AI initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of the organization's goals and strategies, with a focus on advancing socially beneficial AI development and deployment. This role involves shaping the public interest AI agenda, building trust with various stakeholders, and scaling the impact of the initiatives. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in fostering collaboration among funders and aligning their efforts towards a shared mission.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should be strategic and visionary leaders with a strong commitment to the values of the organization. The role requires the ability to navigate different priorities and facilitate coordination among a diverse set of partners. The ideal candidate will have a background in areas such as democracy, education, humanities and culture, labor and economy, or security, and a proven track record in leading collaborative efforts. A deep understanding of the intersection of AI and these key issue areas is essential. The Executive Director will work closely with the Steering Committee and other funders to ensure that the mission and values of the organization are upheld and that the impact of the initiatives is maximized.
