About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of using sport, particularly soccer, as a vehicle for youth development. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership, guiding organizational growth, and ensuring the effective delivery of sport-based youth development programs. This role involves collaborating with the Board of Directors, inspiring staff and volunteers, and serving as the primary spokesperson for the organization. The Executive Director will also be tasked with fund development, strengthening partnerships, and overseeing the management of daily operations. The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator, a relationship builder, and deeply committed to promoting equity and inclusion, particularly for newcomer and historically marginalized youth.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5-7 years' of experience in youth development, education, social work, advocacy, social enterprise, or related fields. A background in soccer, either as a player or coach, is essential. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in management, fundraising, and partnership development, as well as a deep understanding of equity-centered and community-based youth development practices. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with strong facilitation, training, and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage budgets and work with financial oversight.
