About the Role

The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director with a specialization in Partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, particularly in the area of partnership-specific items. This includes a deep understanding of partnership taxation issues, such as capital account maintenance, liability analysis and allocations, and various adjustment calculations. The role also involves leading a team in the preparation of partnership-specific computations, actively participating in marketing and business development, and driving process improvement initiatives. The Tax Managing Director will be a critical member of the leadership team, supervising and mentoring staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax consulting services to clients.

Applicants for the Tax Managing Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a major in accounting, finance, economics, or statistics. A Master's degree in accountancy or taxation is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of relevant experience, with a strong background in specialized partnership and private equity tax matters. A CPA, Attorney, or EA certification is required. The role demands superior communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to manage and develop a team of tax professionals. Experience with tax research tools and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel are also preferred. The candidate should be adept at building and maintaining client relationships, and have a proven track record of effectively interacting with professionals at all levels.
