Working as a Senior Catering Director with Chartwells offers the opportunity to collaborate with
talented culinary and hospitality professionals , build strong client partnerships, and deliver elevated experiences in a fast‑paced, highly visible setting. What You’ll Do
As the Senior Catering Director, you will have full responsibility for the strategic and day‑to‑day leadership of the catering department, ensuring exceptional food, service, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities include: Lead, train, and mentor catering staff in service standards, menu presentation, and guest engagement Oversee all
internal and external catering operations
for the account Manage event labor and food costs to ensure financial performance and accountability Build and maintain strong client relationships across campus departments and external partners Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to develop innovative, on‑trend menus tailored to a diverse client base Ensure every event reflects Chartwells’ commitment to quality, hospitality, and consistency What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for a proven catering leader who thrives in complex environments and brings both operational discipline and a passion for hospitality. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree preferred 5 years of progressive foodservice management experience Catering leadership experience is required Strong leadership, organizational, and team‑development skills Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities Ability to manage multiple events while maintaining high standards and attention to detail Why Chartwells & GWU?
