
Our client, a well-established nonprofit based in Brooklyn, is looking for a Grants Director. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate will have 5+ years of grant management and leadership experience.

Well-established nonprofit based in Brooklyn. This role is 5 days per week in office, and offers an individual with 5+ years of NYC grant management & leadership experience a chance to work within a collaborative department at a stable nonprofit.
Description
This role will involve:
Collaborate with CFO and finance team to prepare agency's annual budget.
Work with department leaders on budget creation and monitoring.
Provide monthly budget reports + recommend adjustments.
Monitor grant compliance + coordinate with grants management team.
Oversee contract close-outs, modifications, renewals, and milestone tracking.
Coordinate all financial and programmatic audit preparation.
Main point of contact for funders on compliance issues.
Coordinate with auditors and manage audit documentation.
Manage grants from application through close-out.
Oversee government grant registrations.
Lead all government contract audits and site visits.
Manage submissions, uploads, and amendments in systems such as:

Oversee systems to track mandates, deliverables, receivables. Ensure timely reimbursements and compliance with procurement rules. Partner with General Counsel on contract reviews and filings. Handle salary allocations, effort reporting, projections, and grant closeouts. Participate in procurement planning and resolve issues. Support revenue recognition, pricing, discounting, and bidding compliance. Recommend reporting improvements. Other duties assigned by CFO. Profile The successful candidate will have: Bachelor's in Accounting or related field;
5+ years nonprofit contract management experience . Management/Leadership experience required Strong grants management background in a multi‑funder environment. NYC / NYS agency experience strongly preferred. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong technical skills (Excel, systems, portals). Ability to multitask, manage competing deadlines, and lead teams. Experience with nonprofit accounting systems (preferred). Financial analysis skills (preferred).
