Description
POSITION: Director of Fabrication and Manufacturing
SHIFT: M-F 8am to 5pm (Varied Hour based on Business Demands)
PAY RATE: $169K - $188K+ (DOE) + Full Benefit Package
LOCATION: Fargo, ND
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide leadership and teamwork in integrating the TrueNorth Steel sites by supporting and executing on the TrueNorth Steel Mission Statement and Values.
- Demonstrate the Game Changer culture as well as drive the culture change at the sites.
- Monitor KPI’s at each site to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Assist sites to ensure all KPI’s are met.
- Collaborates with director level leadership team to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to HR related issues including site staffing, recruiting and retention.
- Implement/monitor standard processes across the site for production and non-production tasks.
- Provide guidance and accountability to ensure the sites are following the TNS Quality Management System.
- Coach/assist sites with developing and executing root cause analysis for corrective actions and non-conformances.
- Ensure sites are improving/changing process as a result of corrective actions.
- Assess and recommend any new processes/equipment to increase capacity and efficiencies.
- Ensure all sites are held accountable to adhere to the Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Assist VP of Manufacturing with Strategic Planning and growth opportunities for the company.
- Work in close collaboration with Corporate Departments (Quality, Safety, HR, Drafting, Finance etc.)
- Evaluate all direct reports annually through the Performance Review Process.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience of industrial fabrication and manufacturing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
