Overview
MeeruAI is building a next-generation, multi-tenant SaaS platform that transforms financial operations using AI-powered agents. Built on a modern LangGraph-based architecture, this platform enables finance teams to automate AP, AR, forecasting, and financial analytics at enterprise scale.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the development and launch of MeeruAI’s flagship product. This is a high-impact, hands‑on leadership role where you’ll own architecture, execution, and team growth while working in a hybrid model (3 days onsite in Pleasanton, CA).
You will lead a distributed engineering team (15–20 engineers across the US and offshore) and partner closely with Product, Design, and Business leaders.
What you will do
- Own the technical vision and architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform
- Lead, hire, and scale a distributed engineering team
- Stay hands‑on with architecture, code reviews, and critical‑path development
- Drive execution from MVP through enterprise scale
- Establish engineering best practices for quality, security, and delivery
What we are looking for
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven success building and scaling SaaS products (0→1 and beyond)
- Experience managing teams of 10–20+ engineers
- Strong product mindset and ability to operate in fast‑paced environments
- AI/LLM systems, fintech, or enterprise B2B SaaS experience
- Build and scale a flagship AI platform from the ground up
- High‑ownership leadership role with executive visibility
- Influence engineering culture, architecture, and product direction
- Hybrid work with meaningful in‑person collaboration
Work Location
Hybrid – Pleasanton, CA
This role requires on‑site presence at least three (3) days per week in our Pleasanton office.
