Role Summary
Head of Thoracic Cancer, Global Marketing, Oncology Business Unit. As a member of Takeda Oncology, contribute to a bold vision to cure cancer. Report to the Head of Global Marketing Oncology Products, Pipeline and Strategy and collaborate with a cross-functional, global team to drive an asset in the NSCLC space.
Responsibilities
- Shape and influence global asset strategy through collaboration with R&D and Global Product Leaders, driving the Clinical Development Program and other asset components.
- Partner with senior leadership across functions to accelerate asset development and deliver on KPI’s and revenue targets.
- Lead execution of the global asset strategy, ensuring commercial launch readiness and alignment with Oncology objectives.
- Drive development of the NSCLC Disease Area Strategy and Brand Plan, including branding, financial planning, forecasting, and lifecycle management.
- Inspire and lead a team of Global Brand Leads to achieve brand success and differentiation.
- Set strategic commercial direction for the NSCLC asset, driving portfolio optimization and lifecycle management.
- Own enterprise-level launch readiness with governance alignment and flawless pre-launch/launch execution.
- Lead insight-driven decision-making; convert market intelligence into a compelling brand narrative; use analytics to validate opportunities and maximize ROI.
- Shape managed markets strategy to deliver pricing, access, and reimbursement solutions.
- Drive lifecycle management to expand indications and sustain competitive advantage with cross-functional execution.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of progressive pharmaceutical experience in marketing or strategy, including exposure to both U.S. and ex-U.S. markets.
- Required: Proven oncology expertise, including new product planning and successful launch execution.
- Required: Deep oncology knowledge, market dynamics, brand/franchise management, and effective HCP engagement strategies.
- Required: 3–5+ years of leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Required: Demonstrated P&L ownership and strong financial acumen, including forecasting and resource allocation.
- Required: Extensive experience in marketing strategy and execution with ability to communicate vision and influence stakeholders and agencies.
- Required: Strong collaboration skills across countries, functions, and senior leadership to drive asset development and revenue growth.
- Required: Ability to manage complexity and lead through change with learning agility and adaptability.
- Required: Strategic decision-making balancing business, financial, and risk considerations to deliver optimal outcomes.
- Required: Influential leadership, including situations without direct authority, to align stakeholders and drive results.
- Preferred: MBA and/or PhD.
- Preferred: Experience in lung cancers.
