
Entry Level Accounting Specialist
Join our dynamic team as an Entry Level Accounting Specialist, where you will support project teams with essential accounting and data entry tasks. We provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in this role. Responsibilities: Enter project information into our system, ensuring accuracy and organization. Categorize numbers from estimates, change orders, invoices, and timesheets appropriately. Set up and update project codes to maintain organization. Update reports using data from field staff, including hours worked and materials used. Assist with accounts payable by processing invoices from subcontractors and vendors. Fix coding errors and communicate with subcontractors to obtain missing information. Support accounts receivable by preparing billing documents and entering payment information. Ensure billing aligns with client contract requirements. Prepare project paperwork, including waivers, affidavits, and change orders using templates. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and accounting staff to ensure accurate information. Handle basic data corrections in timesheets or invoices. Perform general office and support tasks, such as creating simple reports and maintaining communication. Meet deadlines and adhere to company procedures. Wear required safety gear when visiting job sites. Essential Skills: Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS. Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong motivation to learn and take initiative. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in accounting or finance is advantageous. Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus. Work Environment: This position is onsite. You will collaborate with the Finance Manager and CFO in a quiet office environment, ideal for those who are comfortable working independently. The team maintains a professional and reserved culture, promoting a conducive atmosphere for focused work. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, CO. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
