About the Role
A global telecommunications provider is hiring an Associate Director to lead CPaaS Network Operations across messaging platforms in the US and Europe.
This is a senior operational leadership role, combining deep technical expertise with people management and global coordination. You will own the reliability, scalability, and compliance of high volume messaging services including SMS, MMS, RCS, and OTT channels.
You will lead a distributed operations team, work closely with product and engineering, and play a key role in scaling CPaaS services in regulated international markets.
Key Responsibilities Define and lead operational strategy for global CPaaS messaging services Own availability, performance, and SLA delivery across messaging platforms Manage carrier interconnects and routing strategy with global telecom partners Lead incident, problem, and root cause management for critical services Drive automation, CI CD improvements, and operational efficiency Ensure compliance with GDPR, TCPA, and anti spam regulations Partner with engineering and product on cloud and platform improvements Mentor and develop a high performing 24x7 operations team Report KPIs, service health, and risk to senior leadership What We're Looking For
10 to 15 years experience in telecom or CPaaS operations Deep knowledge of SMPP, SIP, HTTP APIs, and messaging platforms Strong understanding of carrier interconnects and global routing Experience with cloud architecture, containerization, and automation Comfortable leading teams across time zones Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Background in CI CD pipelines and process automation What's on Offer
