Customer Service Representative - Neurology Associates of Stony Brook, UFPC
Location: East Setauket, NY Schedule: Full time Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30 AM - 5 PM Pay: $18.30 - $22.87 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents Stony Brook CPMP's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting Responsibilities
The incumbent under general supervision and according to established policies & procedures is responsible for accurately and efficiently answering and scheduling patient appointments. Requires a high-level problem solving and analytical skills with the highest ethical standards. The incumbent must be self-directed and self-motivated and able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high level of productivity and accuracy. Job Duties & Essential Functions: High volume appointment scheduling and phone calls. Schedule appointments following protocols. Obtain, verify and input all information accurately into scheduling system. Conduct insurance verification. Provide customer service to patients. Demonstrate courteous and professional behavior when dealing with patients. Resolve patient inquiries or escalate for solution. Routing calls to proper departments. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). Excellent typing skills and friendly telephone etiquette. Preferred Qualifications: 6 months of clerical experience. Experience working in physician practice. Experience in a call center. Experience with an appointment scheduling system. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of medical terminology. Bilingual in Spanish. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day. Any additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management.
