Seasonal Membership Customer Care Representative
Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) seeks to fill a seasonal Membership customer care representative position. This position reports to the Membership Manager and is a key part of a team that serves over 23,000 member households. The Membership customer care representative will provide both front-facing customer service to members and administrative support to the staff, splitting time between the desk in the Visitor's Center and the Development office. In this high-volume membership office, the customer care representative must possess excellent customer service and organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities: Assist members while visiting the Garden. This includes, but not limited to: Assisting with onsite sales Answering membership related questions Organizing membership packet pick-up Respond to member emails and prioritize urgent requests, including ticketing questions. Answer member calls on membership hotline. Enter data in Raiser's Edge, including updating members' contact information and marking if members need new membership cards or package. Process memberships on Raiser's Edge Act as liaison between Membership department and Visitor Services. Other administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills Comfort working with people; friendly, outgoing personality Keen eye for detail Motivated, energetic team player able to prioritize and work independently, as well as interact with members and BBG staff Experience with Raiser's Edge or other database desired Nonprofit experience, or strong interest in cultural institutions, environment, education, and or/science preferred Benefits: Up to 56 hours of sick leave Short-term disability/New York Paid Family Leave As a 501(c)3, BBG is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible Employer.
