Customer Service Representative (Teller)

This opportunity is for a customer service representative (teller) with a work location in Kosciusko, MS. The customer service representative (CSR) is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, including sales and service functions, and making qualified referrals in a fast paced, process driven team environment. The CSR establishes relationships with customers and provides services that help customers achieve their financial dreams. Essential functions include accurately processing transactions including deposits, night drop deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, official checks, money orders and credit card advances. The CSR adheres to the bank's vision, core competencies and moments of truth while listening for referral opportunities and referring customers to the appropriate areas of the bank. The CSR safeguards the bank's assets by efficiently operating a cash drawer while following the bank's policies and procedures and adhering to the bank operations manual. The CSR assists with any other duties assigned which may include maintaining the vault or ATM, and preparing daily reports. Continued education of regulations, policies, procedures and product knowledge is also required. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The job operates in a professional retail branch. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, teller validators and scanners. Physical demands include prolonged periods working at a desk. The CSR must be able to transport up to 30 pounds at a time. The CSR may need to stand for long periods of time. Occasional bending, stooping, and stretching is required. The CSR must be able to assist customers throughout the branch. This is a full-time position. Days and hours vary according to the branch location. The CSR may include Saturdays. Minimal travel is expected for this position with the exception of float CSRs. Required education, experience, and skills include a high school graduate or GED. Working knowledge of computer software is also required. The CSR must have high energy with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. The CSR must work well in a team environment. Preferred education and experience include customer service, cash handling or sales experience.
