Loan Payment Processing And Administration

Responsible for loan payment processing and administration; reconciliation; administration of insurances, and communication with members on open loans. Essential functions and responsibilities: Maintains mortgage information including payment postings, updating member information, processing payoffs, curtailments, monthly billing statements, adjustments, account research, etc. Maintains knowledge and understanding of regulatory guidance. Ensures compliance with policy and procedure. Answers telephone enquiries from members on routine inquiries regarding payoffs, change of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries and other details of existing loans. Prepares and performs monthly and quarterly escrow disbursements. Conducts escrow analysis. Researches and answers inquiries on escrow accounts. Acts as liaison with servicing vendors. Responsible for monthly interest rate adjustments. Ensure notices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner. Answers all inquiries related from members and staff. Processes secondary market sales of mortgage loans. Ensures compliance with Credit Union policy and procedure. Conducts annual HELOC reviews, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure. Prepare routine letters to members. Prepare reports as directed and assist in preparation for audits. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Knowledge and skills: Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Interpersonal skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other skills: Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent communication skills.
