This role would gain wide exposure to the several functions of Purvis Industries at the branch level. The Intern's responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Improve communication by interacting with customers in person, on the phone, and via email. Learning how to identify products correctly. Learn what vendors and their correlating product lines. Work in the warehouse receiving and putting away incoming freight. Pulling and staging or shipping out new orders. Working cycle counts to ensure inventory is accurate. Assist in whatever is needed in the warehouse. Start the process of learning product terminology and part numbers Applicants should have one of the following: In the process of a degree from a 2-year or 4-year accredited institution. Experience working in plant maintenance or similar. Mechanical aptitude. Applicants must be able to complete the internship in person at one of our locations.
