Position Overview

The Inpatient Services Director provides leadership and direction for the daily operations of inpatient services departments, includingMed/SurgandTelemetry. This leader will oversee program design, development, implementation, and quality initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, high performance, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of Med/Surg and Telemetry departments with a focus on quality, patient safety, and staff engagement.
  

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives.
  

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  

• Support strategic planning and operational objectives.
  

• Manage departmental budgets, including cost forecasting and financial impact of services and initiatives.
  

• Provide leadership in staff development, mentorship, and performance management.
  

• Graduate of an accredited BSN program;MSN preferred, or equivalent education/experience combination.
  

• 10+ years of clinical experiencewith at least5 years in management.
  

• CurrentRN license in New Mexicoor Compact License.
  

• Active certifications inBLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALSrequired;TNCC preferred.
  

• Strong background in healthcare management, staff development, and quality initiatives.
  

• Demonstrated ability to design innovative educational programming and effectively communicate across diverse groups.
  

• Skilled in analyzing and addressing social and political trends that impact healthcare and patient education.
