Overview

The Sales Director for North America & Europe leads all commercial activities across both regions, ensuring strong revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and strategic market expansion. This leader oversees a direct B2B sales team, inside sales team as well as a channel management (reseller and distributor) team, aligns regional execution with global strategy, and strengthens Medix Biochemica’s position as a premier supplier of mission critical components to the IVD and Life Sciences industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Strategy & Execution

    • Develop and implement North America and Europe sales strategies aligned with global commercial objectives.

    • Identify growth opportunities across the IVD, diagnostics, and life science markets.

    • Drive solution selling approaches to position Medix Biochemica’s full portfolio effectively.

    • Revenue growth and target achievement. You own and deliver quarterly annual sales targets for the respective regions.

  • Team Leadership & Performance Management

    • Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams across North America and Europe with good energy and in line with Medix Biochemica values.

    • Establish clear OKRs, KPIs, forecasting models, and performance metrics. Providing regional insights accordingly.

    • Foster a collaborative, cross regional commercial culture.

    • Ensure the team is trained on product updates, value propositions and sales tools together with our must win battles and winning together.

    • Work closely together with Corporate Accounts team and China & ROW sales teams.

  • Customer & Partner Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, as well as emerging and transactional customers (supported by digital tools e.g. ecommerce).

    • Oversee channel management team and evaluate channel performance.

    • Support customers with technical and commercial expertise across immunoassay, quality control, molecular, and biospecimen product lines.

  • Market Expansion & Competitive Intelligence

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in both regions. You can adjust plans quickly based on regulatory, economic or competitive shifts.

    • Provide insights to product management and R&D to guide portfolio development.

    • Represent Medix Biochemica at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.

  • Operational & Financial Management

    • Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and sales planning.

    • Ensure accurate pipeline management and CRM utilization.

    • Collaborate with supply chain and operations to meet customer delivery expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • A solid track record of sustained sales growth, managing and leading international sales team including B2B sales teams, inside sales teams and channel management teams together with achieving revenue targets.

  • 10+ years sales leadership experience in IVD, diagnostics, biotechnology, or life sciences commercial roles.

  • Biochemistry & Immunoassay expertise.

  • BSc and/or MSc in a Science related discipline.

  • Strong background in solution selling, strategic planning, and operational forecasting.

  • Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization.

Desirable

  • A strong global IVD network and connections with Tier 1-3 IVDs and laboratory networks is highly desirable.

  • MBA highly desirable.

  • Advanced Excel and finance skills to support forecasting & pricing.

  • Familiarity with antibodies, antigens, molecular diagnostics, or biospecimen products.
