Detailed Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide primary‑care services in accordance with Eventus WholeHealth site‑specific protocols and the standard of care for family medicine, geriatric medicine, and/or internal medicine in long‑term care facilities.
- Review and sign medication administration reports (MARs) and facility orders; respond to labs within 24 hours.
- Manage scheduled medication prescriptions per the facility’s policy.
- Allocate adequate time per visit for paperwork and administrative duties.
- Participate in care‑plan meetings and Q&A/PI activities as requested.
- On‑call: available 8 AM–5 PM by text or phone on scheduled days; adhere to updated triage and on‑call schedules.
- Submit documentation and billing records to Eventus WholeHealth according to billing schedules.
- Maintain open, positive communication with facility staff and administration; provide medication and caregiver instructions.
- Follow all Eventus WholeHealth standards, policies, and legal/regulatory guidelines; comply with professional ethics.
- Protect patient confidentiality, including proper use of cell phones, emails, text messaging, charts, and EMR; comply with HIPAA and CPT coding guidelines.
Qualifications & Education
- Licensed MD or DO
- 3 years in long‑term care/geriatric care preferred
- AMDA certification a plus but not mandatory
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
