Store Manager SUMMARY The Retail Management Trainee plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in overall store operations and administrative tasks. This position involves becoming well-versed in each product area within our store, contributing to achieving the store's goals and initiatives, and ensuring high standards of customer service and satisfaction. The Retail Management Trainee has a passion for outstanding customer experiences and is trained to assume leadership responsibilities when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing the store's assets effectively. Work alongside the management team to establish actionable plans for departmental responsibilities, including sales, merchandising, and scheduling. Take charge of store operations in the absence of management. Provide support and guidance to both employees and customers across various departments. Monitor inventory, sales data, and expenses to drive profitability in all areas. Lead staff to maintain departmental standards and achieve responsibilities. Keep management apprised of inventory movement and customer preferences. Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered. Perform administrative tasks as needed and receive training in Store Manager responsibilities. Deliver extraordinary customer service experiences, assisting customers upon entering the store and during peak times. Promote and sell Hibbett’s services and merchandise enthusiastically. Adhere to all operational and personnel policies, procedures, and the visual manual as outlined by the company. Protect the company's assets by following effective internal control procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and guide employees during the absence of the Store Manager, adhering to organizational policies and applicable laws. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in a retail environment, especially in footwear and athletic apparel, is preferred. 1-3 years of customer service experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to assist in team management while achieving overall goals. Proactive individual with the initiative to undertake important tasks independently. Detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple responsibilities with accuracy. A collaborative team player who is enthusiastic about customer service and merchandise promotion.
