Responsibilities
Conducting assessments of the interests, functional levels, and the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of all residents
Developing activities care plan goals and approaches and communicate resident responses
Encouraging resident participation in activities while respecting resident choice
Interacting with residents, family members, co-workers, and visitors
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Licensed or registered by Indiana as eligible for certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or as an Activities professional by a recognized accrediting body
Two years of experience in a social or recreational program
Year of full-time employment in an Activities Program in a health care setting
