Position Specific Description Join NextEra Energy Resources' dynamic M&A team and play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic natural gas acquisitions and development opportunities. This position offers the chance to work on high-impact transactions that drive our growth in the renewable sector while supporting our broader energy portfolio strategy. What You\'ll Do Financial Analysis & Modeling: Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate renewable assets, including DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and sensitivity modeling Due Diligence Management:Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes, working with cross-functional teams including legal, technical, environmental, and commercial groups Market Research: Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify strategic opportunities Deal Execution:Support transaction processes from initial screening through closing, including preparation of investment committee materials and management presentations Project Management:Coordinate multiple workstreams, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines Stakeholder Communication:Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and collaborate with internal teams across the organization What You\'ll Bring Education:Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred Experience:3-7 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or energy finance Financial Modeling Expertise:Advanced skills in building complex financial models, scenario analysis, and valuation methodologies Project Management:Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Technical Skills:Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms preferred Communication:Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly to various audiences Job Overview

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Manages all aspects of the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive results Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection Constructs contractual arrangements for project development Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community Identifies opportunities and negotiates power sales contracts Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications
