Overview

Colorado Access is looking for a Director of Marketplace Sales who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like. Department Responsibilities

Provides strategic direction and oversees the management and maintenance of department deliverables striving for operational excellence (productivity, quality, SLAs, customer experience of services provided, etc.). Builds high performing teams with vision, leadership, goals and metrics. Serves as a role model for team members; takes action and inspires team members to embrace and implement culture initiatives. Provides awareness to staff about how their work impacts other departments, programs and the enterprise. Encourages collaboration and holds team members accountable for achieving outstanding results. Responsible for all management functions including hiring, training, planning and directing work, coaching and staff development, managing and evaluating performance, recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective action procedures and practices, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Develops and manages the department budget. Works closely with Directors across the organization to make tactical and operational decisions that advance company strategies and goals and collaborates to deliver on company-wide deliverables/requirements. Oversees/leads departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives; may lead cross functional teams. Develops and implements department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company policies, rules and regulations. Job Specific Responsibilities

Develop and implement sales strategies to increase ACA individual membership across Colorado. Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, and goal setting aligned with organizational objectives. Identify market opportunities and competitive threats to inform product positioning and outreach. Bring both an understanding of ICHRA and Medicaid cross-over population, as well as expertise in on and off exchange and specialty products. Oversee the sales operations infrastructure including CRM systems, quoting tools, and reporting dashboards. Ensure accurate tracking of sales performance, pipeline metrics, and broker engagement. Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to streamline sales workflows and data integrity. Knowledge of key FMOs, brokerages, enrollment vendors and platforms. Understanding of commission systems and agent appointment software and vendors. Build and manage relationships with brokers, navigators, and community-based enrollment partners. Develop training programs and incentive structures to support broker success. Ensure compliance with CMS and state regulations regarding broker conduct and compensation. Work closely with marketing, product, compliance, and customer service teams to align messaging and member experience. Support open enrollment readiness and special enrollment period strategies. What you will bring

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Health Administration, Marketing, Public Health, or related fields (master’s preferred). An equivalent combination of experience and/or education may substitute with a preference for nine years of progressive relevant work experience. Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in health insurance sales, with at least 3 years in ACA individual markets. Experience working with state-based exchanges (e.g., Connect for Health Colorado) is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven leadership in sales strategy, operations, and team management. Strong understanding of ACA regulations, Colorado health insurance market, and broker networks. Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), data analytics, and sales enablement tools. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with public speaking/presentation experience. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to develop strategic partnerships and work with all levels of staff. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task. Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver’s license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving. Additional Information

The compensation for this position is $159,200.00 to $190,200.00 annually. This position is eligible for a production bonus up to 30%, subject to meeting targets. Colorado Access has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Colorado Access may pay for the position at the time of posting. Colorado Access may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status. This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’ Location and Notice
