
**Junior Procurement Analyst**
**Can be in Hoover, AL or Bessemer, AL**
**12 Months Contract**
This role supports the day-to-day procurement activities of the Innovation Hub. The Junior Procurement Analyst will work directly with the Procurement Manager and help keep purchasing, vendors, and internal requests moving in a fast-paced, startup-style environment within USS. This is an entry-level role designed for someone early in their career who is eager to learn procurement, operations, and supply chain fundamentals while being hands-on in real projects.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Create and process purchase orders in the ERP system
+ Track orders and follow up with vendors on confirmations, deliveries, and issues
+ Collect quotes and assist with basic price comparisons
+ Maintain organized records for vendors, contracts, and purchases
+ Support invoice matching and help resolve basic discrepancies with vendors and AP
+ Coordinate with internal teams to understand needs and timelines
+ Assist with new vendor setup and maintenance of vendor data
+ Provide operational and administrative support to the Procurement team
**Candidate Qualifications:**
+ 0-2 years of experience in operations, procurement, supply chain, finance, or a related field
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Comfortable working in Excel and basic systems
+ Clear communicator who is not afraid to follow up
+ Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
+ Able to work in a fast-moving, evolving environment
