Hull Barrett, Attorneys at Law is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in real estate law and closings to join our Evans, Georgia office. This position will support attorneys handling Georgia and South Carolina residential and commercial real estate transactions. Experience in both states is preferred, but not required.
Position Overview The ideal candidate will assist with real estate matters from contract through closing, including document preparation, coordination with all parties, and file management. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently throughout the closing process. Candidates with at least 2 years of paralegal experience are preferred; however, strong candidates with less experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with Georgia and South Carolina residential and commercial real estate transactions
Prepare, review, and organize closing documents, including deeds, affidavits, and settlement statements
Coordinate and manage real estate closings from start to finish
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, lenders, realtors, and title companies
Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a smooth closing experience for all parties
Review title work and assist with identifying and resolving title or closing issues
Track deadlines and proactively problem-solve to prevent delays
Maintain accurate and well-organized files
Qualifications
2+ years of paralegal experience preferred (real estate experience strongly preferred but not a deal breaker)
Knowledge of GA and/or SC real estate law and closing procedures is a plus
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and handle issues calmly and efficiently
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Qalia and/or SoftPro
