Overview Grant Thornton is seeking a Global Indirect Tax Manager to join our team in Bellevue, WA. Additional approved locations include Los Angeles, CA, Newport Beach, CA, Phoenix, AZ, San Francisco, CA, and San Jose, CA. You’ll deliver a full range of tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for multiple clients, with resources, environment, and support to help you excel. You’ll collaborate with the Global Indirect Tax team and lead staff on various tax matters, on all phases of project and engagement management, because together is how we succeed.

Responsibilities

Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects across industries; provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients

Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews

Contribute to practice development through process improvements, thought leadership, and team collaboration

Develop and deliver project proposals, including workplans and fee quotes, to prospective clients

Manage project budgets and financial administration, including invoicing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable

Serve as a US state and local Sales/Use Tax and related indirect taxes subject matter resource, with expertise in Washington State excise tax, contributing to the firm’s subject matter expert network

Deliver a broad range of US State and Local Indirect Tax consulting services, focused on Sales/Use Tax, including: reverse audits, audit defense, multi-state nexus analyses, state tax research and memoranda, remediation planning, cross-state registrations, ASC 450 reviews, sales/use tax due diligence, and assisting with returns and inquiries

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in accounting

Minimum six years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting

CPA, JD, or Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple project tasks concurrently and oversee overall project delivery

Support business development activities, including identification, proposal development, and pursuit activities

Strong computer skills

Willingness to travel as needed

Compensation The base salary ranges by location are as follows:

Bellevue, WA: $121,000 – $181,400

Los Angeles, CA and Newport Beach, CA: $121,000 – $181,400

San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA: $128,000 – $193,200
