Job Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in AWS. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Oracle databases and will lead our efforts to migrate our database infrastructure to AWS. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and AWS services, particularly related to database migration and management on EC2 instances and RDS using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). Additionally, this role will involve designing, architecting, and implementing database solutions, including backup, security, and disaster recovery strategies.

Knowledge in Postgres SQL is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Must have strong experience in migrating Oracle databases to the AWS Cloud Environment.

Install and manage Oracle versions 11g, 12c, 18c, and 19c.

Configure databases according to application requirements, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

Experience in setting up and managing Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.

Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and ASM (Automatic Storage Management).

Proficient in Oracle RMAN for backup and recovery.

Expert in RMAN Should be able to restore Oracle Database using RMAN from backups.

Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Implement and manage Oracle database security policies, roles, and privileges for users.

Involved in testing and troubleshooting backups, monitoring backup performance, and setting up alerts.

Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans, including both on-premises and cloud environments.

Hands-on experience with AWS EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and other relevant AWS services.

Configure and manage Oracle Multi-AZ deployments for high availability and fault tolerance in AWS.

Implement and maintain Oracle Data Guard for Multi-AZ replication and failover configurations.

Design and implement disaster recovery strategies, including DR in AWS.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Certifications

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Oracle Database Administration

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional (Optional But Beneficial)
